“Oh! What a relief it is to see a fresh face. I was beginning to feel we had been forsaken. Our supply lines were cut off days ago, and things have been looking – well, bleak. To be honest, this was a suicide mission to begin with if you ask me. Maybe I’m simply not cut out for all of this violence – to say nothing of the bitter cold! I’d much rather be back in Dalaran studying ancient texts. To the point, our food supply is nearly spent. Please, gather what you can and bring it to me.
Take this and use it on one of them. Wait for it to become subdued, then bring it here to me before it expires. Their hatchlings feed around the northwest edge of the valley.”
-Librarian Serrah

You will be able to choose one of these rewards:
Upon completion of this quest you will gain:
Quest Giver/Turn-in: Librarian Serrah at the Transitus Shield [33, 34]
Objective: Gather 10 Frostberries from Frostberry Bushes in Coldarra.
Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Step 1: Find Frostberry Bushes
Frostberry Bushes are scattered throughout Coldarra. They appear as small, glittering dead shrubs on the ground, often found near Glacial Ancients and Magic-Bound Ancients.
Good Spawn Locations:
Herbalist Tip: Frostberry Bushes can be tracked using Find Herbs. This makes locating them significantly easier.
Step 2: Gather Frostberries
Click each bush to collect one Frostberry. Each bush despawns after being looted once, and only one player can loot each bush.
Crowded Server Tip: If other players are competing for bushes in the main areas, try the higher elevations around the zone. Some bushes spawn on hills that other players miss.
Step 3: Return to Librarian Serrah
Once you have 10 Frostberries, return to Librarian Serrah at the Transitus Shield.

Story Context
Librarian Serrah (quest text): “Oh! Please, gather what you can and bring it to me.”
Completion: “Well, it’s not much, but it should keep us alive for another day. I believe you’ll find this to be a fair price for your efforts.”
Librarian Serrah is a civilian assigned to the Transitus Shield who clearly did not sign up for combat duty. She’s a librarian and vendor, not a warmage, and the reality of being trapped behind enemy lines with dwindling supplies is wearing on her. While the warmages maintain the shield that hides them from Malygos, Serrah handles the practical matter of keeping everyone fed.
This entire faction of mages is unable to conjure their own food and drinks. This is actually addressed by game mechanics: conjured food provides significantly less nourishment than “real” food, and the warmages at Transitus Shield need all their mana focused on maintaining the protective barrier.

Vikstone's War JournalLibrarian Serrah looked like she hadn’t slept in days.

“Oh! What a relief it is to see a fresh face. I was beginning to feel we had been forsaken.” She pulled her robes tighter against the cold. “Our supply lines were cut off days ago, and things have been looking… well, bleak.”
A pause. Then, quieter: “To be honest, this was a suicide mission to begin with if you ask me. Maybe I’m simply not cut out for all of this violence. To say nothing of the bitter cold! I’d much rather be back in Dalaran studying ancient texts.”
She caught herself, straightened.
“To the point. Our food supply is nearly spent. Please, gather what you can and bring it to me.”
The Frostberry bushes grew in scraggly clusters across the frozen hills. Small, stubborn things clinging to life where nothing should survive. I picked what I could find, filling my pack with frost-rimed berries while keeping one eye on the skies.
Back at camp, Serrah accepted the berries with weary gratitude. “Well, it’s not much, but it should keep us alive for another day.”
I hoped she’d see Dalaran again.
The berries bought a day, and the shield hiding the camp from Malygos ran on mana that the warmages were nearly out of, which is all it takes to Keep the Secret Safe.
