“My evil twin’s out there somewhere now. I’m pretty sure that she’s not back at the airstrip. In fact, wherever she ended up, it’s colder there than here. But I could only ‘feel’ her for a moment. Oh well, I’ll reconfigure this thing and port myself back to the airstrip soon enough. In the meantime, do you think you could go east and let Bixie know that I’ll meet her back there?
Thanks, Vikstone!”
-Tinky Wickwhistle

Quest Dialogue
Tinky’s message to Bixie reveals the teleportation mishap:
“My evil twin’s out there somewhere now. I’m pretty sure that she’s not back at the airstrip. In fact, wherever she ended up, it’s colder there than here. But I could only ‘feel’ her for a moment. Oh well, I’ll reconfigure this thing and port myself back to the airstrip soon enough. In the meantime, do you think you could go east and let Bixie know that I’ll meet her back there?”
Bixie’s reaction is wonderfully nonchalant:
“Tinky’s got an evil twin?! Well, if she says she’s okay, and that she’ll be able to get herself back to the airstrip soon, that’s good enough for me.”
This casual acceptance of a teleportation accident creating an evil clone is peak gnome culture.
Lore: Wrapping Up Talramas
This quest concludes the Alliance’s involvement with the crashed necropolis. The Scourge commanders (Doctor Razorgrin and Lich-Lord Chillwinter) are dead, Tinky is free, and the immediate threat is neutralized.
Bixie mentions her leg injury from the previous encounter with Scourge in the caves. In Back to the Airstrip, she notes: “I’m moving a little slower with this leg injury.” This is a callback to her earlier mention of getting “swiped” before she could vanish, confirming she sustained real damage during her reconnaissance.
The Talramas itself remains crashed. Despite Chillwinter’s frantic efforts to repair it before the Lich King discovered the crash, the necropolis never flies again.
It stands as a ruined monument to Scourge ambitions in Borean Tundra, eventually becoming a scavenging site for Fizzcrank Airstrip gnomes looking for interesting mechanical parts.
Explore Borean Tundra’s hidden easter eggs, lore mysteries, and connections across Warcraft history in Vikstone’s Borean Tundra Chronicles, along with the complete quest storyline.

Vikstone's War JournalThe makeshift teleporter worked. Mostly.

Tinky stood outside her cage, frowning at the device in her hands. “My evil twin’s out there somewhere now. Wherever she ended up, it’s colder there than here.” She shrugged. “I could only feel her for a moment.”
I waited for further explanation. None came.
“I’ll reconfigure this thing and port myself back to the airstrip soon enough. Could you head east and let Bixie know I’ll meet her there?”
I found Bixie south of the Dens of Dying and delivered the news.
“Tinky’s got an evil twin?!” She processed this for approximately two seconds. “Well, if she says she’s okay and she’ll get herself back to the airstrip, that’s good enough for me.”
Apparently, evil twins were an acceptable side effect.
Bixie’s leg was slowing her badly and the airstrip still wanted its engineer, which leaves one more trip Back to the Airstrip.
