Collect 5 Ancient Ectoplasm from Lost Drakkari Spirits at the Pools of Zha'Jin.

Captain Arnath at Heb'Valok [35, 52] needs ingredients for Alchemist Finklestein. Head south to the Pools of Zha'Jin [36, 59] and kill Lost Drakkari Spirits for Ancient Ectoplasm. Target the neutral (yellow) spirits, not the hostile wraiths. Drop rate is near 100%, so five kills gets the job done.

Vikstone went from toppling a Scourge overlord to collecting ectoplasm for an alchemist's supply list. After weeks of double-agent work in Voltarus, grunt work with zero stakes felt like a reward.

I suppose I should be honored that he’s chosen my post to set up shop. But ever since he’s arrived, I’ve been relegated to collecting various alchemical ingredients. Say, Night Elf, how about you give me a hand? Just south of here are some pools that are haunted by spirits of ancient trolls.

Travel to the Pools of Zha'Jin:
The pools are located at 36, 60 in Zul'Drak.
Look for yellow-named mobs called Lost Drakkari Spirits near and around the pools.
Kill Lost Drakkari Spirits:
These are the mobs that drop Ancient Ectoplasm for the quest.
Ignore any items or objects within the area—only the spirits provide the quest item. — **Travel to the Pools of Zha’Jin:** The pools are located at 36, 60 in Zul’Drak. Look for yellow-named mobs called Lost Drakkari Spirits near and around the pools.

Quest Giver: Captain Arnath at Heb’Valok, Zul’Drak [35, 52]

Objective: Collect 5 Ancient Ectoplasm from Lost Drakkari Spirits at the Pools of Zha’Jin.

Walkthrough

Head south from Heb’Valok to the Pools of Zha’Jin around [36, 59].
Kill Lost Drakkari Spirits. These are neutral (yellow-named) ghost trolls near the pools. Target the neutral spirits, not the hostile wraiths in the area.
Drop rate is near 100%. Five kills, five ectoplasms, done.
Return to Captain Arnath at Heb’Valok to turn in.

Efficiency Tips

Completing this quest unlocks two follow-ups from Captain Arnath: Clipping Their Wings (7 Unblemished Bat Wings from Zul’Drak Bats) and Stocking the Shelves (7 Fresh Spider Ichor from Trapdoor Crawlers). Both are completed in the area immediately around Heb’Valok, so don’t wander far after turning in.
The quest text gives away that Captain Arnath is actually collecting ingredients for Alchemist Finklestein, the Argent Crusade’s alchemist stationed at Heb’Valok. Finklestein later becomes the quest giver for the Troll Patrol daily ingredient-mixing minigame.

The Pools of Zha’Jin reeked of death. Lost Drakkari spirits drifted through the mist. They howled, attacked, dissolved into glowing residue that somehow needed bottling.

My greataxe wasn’t forged for collecting ectoplasm. There was something almost restful about work that didn’t require pretending.

Arnath took the samples. His complaints about Finklestein sounded wonderfully ordinary.
