“Thanks for helping me, Vikstone. My name’s Sasha. Listen, I have to get the hell out of here. The people that sent you here… my people… they’ve changed. They’re not good people anymore… and they want to turn you into one of… one of them. This… ‘test’ they sent you on is just the beginning.
Head to the northwestern end of Silverbrook. You’ll find something of interest to you.
Good luck… and trust no one.”

Lore Context
Take a look around Silverbrook on your way to the hut. Notice the human corpses hung up near the village entrance. The environmental storytelling here is doing heavy lifting before the full Wolfcult reveal.
Sasha’s dialogue is the first explicit confirmation that something is deeply wrong with the townsfolk. Combined with Katja’s wolfsbane “allergies” and Sergei’s “skin your prey” ritual, the pieces are all falling into place.

Vikstone's War Journal“Thanks for helping me, Vikstone.” Sasha glanced toward the forest, already planning her escape. “My name’s Sasha. Listen, I have to get the hell out of here.”
She grabbed my arm, her grip desperate.

“The people that sent you here… my people… they’ve changed. They’re not good people anymore.” Her voice cracked. “And they want to turn you into one of… one of them.”
One of them.
“This ‘test’ they sent you on is just the beginning. Head to the northwestern end of Silverbrook. You’ll find something of interest to you.” She released my arm and backed away. “Good luck… and trust no one.”
Then she was gone, vanishing into the pines like a deer fleeing wolves.
I returned to Silverbrook as if nothing had changed. Walked past Ivan, past Katja and her wolfsbane allergies, past Sergei and his skinning knives. Found the northwestern tower.
Another cage, another prisoner.
He flinched when he saw me coming.
“Who’s there? Are you here to kill me?” His voice broke. “Please! You don’t have to do this!”
I studied the man in the cage. Studied the village beyond, its people going about their business with too many teeth in their smiles.
“I’m not here to hurt you,” I said quietly. “Tell me everything.”
The cage door is about to open, and Silverbrook is about to find out. Escape from Silverbrook starts the moment you accept it.
