Walkthrough

Speak with Captain Gryan Stoutmantle at the Westfall Brigade Encampment. He’ll dispatch you north to Light’s Breach in Zul’Drak, where the Argent Crusade is fighting to hold off the Scourge.

For fast travel, speak with Samuel Clearbook, the Gryphon Master at the encampment [59.9, 26.7]. Select his special dialogue option (not the standard flight path interface) for a direct flight to Light’s Breach. Turn in to Sergeant Riannah upon arrival.

Efficiency Tips

• If you haven’t discovered Light’s Breach yet, grab the flight path when you land. It’s the southwestern flight point for Zul’Drak.
• If you’re arriving in Zul’Drak from Dragonblight instead, pick up Into the Breach! from Crusader Valus at Light’s Trust [84, 27] rather than backtracking to Grizzly Hills for this quest. Both breadcrumbs lead to the same destination.

Lore Context

Stoutmantle’s briefing captures the Alliance perspective on the Zul’Drak crisis: “There’s trouble up north that makes our problems look like a mid-summer Stormwind parade.”

The Westfall Brigade is the evolution of the People’s Militia from Westfall, the same citizen army that fought the Defias Brotherhood. Under Stoutmantle’s newly promoted command, they joined the Valiance Expedition and deployed to Grizzly Hills to find routes into the northern territories.
