Objective: Recover 8 Missing Journal Pages, combine them with the Incomplete Journal in your bags, and return the completed Brann Bronzebeard’s Journal to Torthen Deepdig at the Westfall Brigade Encampment.

Walkthrough

Picking Up the Quest

• This quest does NOT start from an NPC. It starts from a Battered Journal object on the ground in front of Thor Modan. Don’t expect Torthen Deepdig to offer it. If Torthen isn’t offering you a quest, that’s because the starter is out at Thor Modan itself.
• Interact with the journal to accept the quest. You’ll receive an Incomplete Journal item in your bags.

Collecting the Pages

• The 8 Missing Journal Pages are scattered on the ground around the Thor Modan courtyard. They appear as sparkling objects you can interact with.
• The pages are in the open area around the earthen/iron dwarf battle, not deep inside the tunnels. The golems are busy fighting the earthen, so collection is fairly relaxed.
• Rarely, a Runic Battle Golem will drop a page as loot. Don’t rely on this, but you may pick up a page or two from kills if you’re doing Brothers in Battle simultaneously.

Completing the Journal

• Once you have all 8 pages, use the Incomplete Journal from your bags to combine the pages into the completed Brann Bronzebeard’s Journal. This is the step that trips people up. The completed journal is not a world object you find; you create it by clicking the quest item in your inventory.
• If your quest addon is pointing you toward “Brann Bronzebeard’s Journal” as a pickup, ignore it. The journal is assembled in your bags.

Turning In

• Return to Torthen Deepdig at the Westfall Brigade Encampment [59, 27].
• Torthen reads through the journal and discovers that Brann Bronzebeard found a mysterious runic plate deep inside Thor Modan and was working on deciphering its symbols when the stone giant attack forced him to flee. This kicks off the follow-up chain to reconstruct Brann’s runic key.

Efficiency Tips

• Do Alongside: Grab this while doing Brothers in Battle or any other Kurun/Thor Modan quest. The pages are in the same combat zone as the Runic Battle Golems, so you can collect both simultaneously with zero extra travel.
• Page Density: Focus on the courtyard area near the quest starter. Most pages are clustered around there rather than spread across the whole zone.

Lore Context

This is Brann Bronzebeard’s journal. Brann is the youngest of the three Bronzebeard brothers and the greatest explorer of the Explorers’ League. He’s been through Thor Modan investigating iron dwarf origins and titan-forged history, but had to abandon his research when the earthen/giant siege intensified.

Brann’s discovery of the runic plate ties into the broader theme of dwarven origins and the Curse of Flesh, which transforms titan constructs (like earthen and iron dwarves) into their fleshy descendants (Ironforge dwarves).
