While collecting traps for Tua’kea’s Crab Traps, look for a Wrecked Crab Trap on the seabed around [48, 80]. Unlike the intact traps, this one has been destroyed by something much larger than the nearby sharks. Right-click it to pick up the quest, then swim back to Tua’kea at Moa’ki Harbor.
Tua’kea’s reaction hints at what’s coming: “I fear my old nemesis has returned to these waters.” This leads into The Bait, where you prepare bait for whatever creature destroyed the trap, and then Meat on the Hook, where you confront it.
The chain awards solid Kalu’ak reputation and gear.

The cage had been torn apart and the wicker frame was splintered outward, as if something inside had grown too large to contain, or something outside had wanted what was within badly enough to take it by force.
Sharks swam nearby, keeping their distance from the wreckage. That told me everything I needed to know. Whatever did this was larger than them and still somewhere in these waters.
I surfaced with the ruined trap.
Tua’kea’s face fell when he saw it.
“That’s not the news I wanted to hear.” He turned the wreckage over in his broad hands. “No, no… it’s good that you told me, but I fear my old nemesis has returned to these waters.”
Old nemesis.
“What is it?”
Whatever wrecked that trap would have to be brought up to the surface, and Tua’kea had a very particular notion about what sort of The Bait would do it.
