“If the cultists up in those caves survived the crash, then that fallen necropolis to the west can only be assumed to still be filled with Scourge. There’re probably lots of them out in front of it in the pools, too!
While you’re at Talramas, Warrior, do you think you could dispatch all of the Lich King’s flunkies that you find there?”
-Bixie Wrenchshanker

Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Head west from Bixie toward Talramas, the crashed necropolis. Any Scourge mob in the area counts toward your 20 kills.
Kill Zones:
Mob Types That Count:
Efficiency: Combine with Rats, Tinky Went into the Necropolis!
Both quests send you to Talramas. Pick them up together and complete them in a single trip. You’ll easily reach 20 kills while navigating to Tinky’s cage inside the necropolis.
If you’re also doing I’m Stuck in this Damned Cage… But Not For Long!, the killable mobs for that quest (ghouls for Engine-Core Crystal, Doctor Razorgrin for Magical Gyroscope, Lich-Lord Chillwinter for Piloting Scourgestone) all count toward this quest as well.
Combat Notes
Talramas Abominations are notably tougher than the ghouls and skeletons. Their Plague Cloud ability deals periodic Shadow damage to nearby enemies, so melee classes should be prepared for extra incoming damage.
Bone Warriors use Sunder Armor, stacking an armor debuff. If pulling multiple, prioritize them to avoid heavy armor reduction.
The Festering Pools area has high mob density. Pulling carefully is advisable, as respawns are fast and adds can pile up quickly.
Terrain Warning
There is a bad terrain spot near the rear of Talramas where players can fall through the ground and need to spirit-resurrect. Stick to the main paths when exploring the necropolis structure.
Lore Context
Bixie’s casual quest text captures the gnomish pragmatism we’ve seen throughout this chain: “If the cultists up in those caves survived the crash, then that fallen necropolis to the west can only be assumed to still be filled with Scourge. There’re probably lots of them out in front of it in the pools, too! While you’re at Talramas, do you think you could dispatch all of the Lich King’s flunkies that you find there?”
Her completion text adds a surprisingly earnest moment: “Thanks. The Lich King and his Scourge are really scary, but we can’t stop until they are all lying still in new graves!” For all her joking about vanish bugs and mixing anti-venoms, Bixie understands the stakes.
The Festering Pools themselves were once part of the Steam Springs, a geothermal area connected to the Geyser Fields. When Talramas crashed, its Scourge contamination spread outward, corrupting the pools and driving away any natural life.

Vikstone's War Journal“If the cultists survived the crash,” Bixie said, “then that fallen necropolis is probably still crawling with Scourge. Lots of them out in the pools, too.” She looked at me the way gnomes do when they’re about to ask you to do something suicidal and expect you to say yes. “While you’re at Talramas, think you could dispatch all of the Lich King’s flunkies you find there?”

Twenty dead, that was the number she wanted.
The Festering Pools held Scourge that crawled from the muck, shambled out of the necropolis, rose from puddles of diseased water. Ghouls, mostly. Some skeletons, the occasional geist. None of them lasted long.
Twenty became twenty-five. Then thirty. At a certain point, I stopped counting. The dead kept coming and I kept putting them back down.
When I finally returned, Bixie exhaled like she’d been holding her breath the whole time. “Thanks. The Lich King and his Scourge are really scary, but we can’t stop until they’re all lying in new graves.”
Tinky was still in the cage, needing parts scattered across the ground Vikstone had just finished walking, because I’m Stuck in this Damned Cage… But Not For Long!
