Quest 1 of 2 in the Mosswalker Chain
Both Factions • Sholazar Basin • Level 77 • Mistwhisper Refuge
Return to Rainspeaker Canopy and report to High-Oracle Soo-say.
Pure travel. Fly southeast to Rainspeaker Canopy (54, 56) and talk to Soo-say. Nothing escorts you and nothing follows. Turning in starts The Angry Gorloc, which swaps your companion to Moodle and points you east toward Mosswalker Village.
Vikstone's Classic Expedition
Soo-gan called him a good dryskin and said the puppy-men would leave the village alone now, which was true in the way that things are true after enough people have died.

“You’re a good dryskin. Mistwhisper safe, treasure safe, and puppy-men sure to leave us alone now. You go back to Rainspeaker Canopy and tell Soo-say you done good.”

-Mistcaller Soo-gan

Despite the quest text saying Mistwhisper Canopy, this is a typo.

Jaloot will accompany you as you head to the turn-in point.
He will assist in combat if needed, providing a helpful edge against any mobs along the way.

Walkthrough

Quest Giver: Mistcaller Soo-gan — Mistwhisper Refuge, Sholazar Basin [42, 39]

Turn In: High-Oracle Soo-say — Rainspeaker Canopy, Sholazar Basin [54, 56]

Objective: Return to Rainspeaker Canopy and report your success to High-Oracle Soo-say.

Walkthrough

  • After turning in Forced Hand and The Lost Mistwhisper Treasure, Mistcaller Soo-gan offers this quest. It’s a simple travel turn-in with no combat objectives.
  • Fly or ride southeast to Rainspeaker Canopy [54, 56] and speak to High-Oracle Soo-say.

Efficiency Tips

  • This is not an escort quest. Jaloot does not need to physically walk with you. Just fly straight to Rainspeaker Canopy.
  • Turning in this quest leads to The Angry Gorloc, which introduces Moodle as your new gorloc companion and sends you to Mosswalker Village. You’ll receive Moodle’s Stress Ball to summon him.
  • If you’ve become attached to Jaloot as a companion, be aware that the next quest phase switches your active gorloc to Moodle. You can always re-summon Jaloot later by speaking with High-Oracle Soo-say and requesting Jaloot’s Favorite Crystal.

Lore & Secrets

The Oracles and Their “Dryskin” Friend

Soo-gan’s farewell line calls you a “good dryskin,” which is the gorloc term for non-gorloc races. Jaloot hints that you might one day earn the title “Soo-dryskin,” suggesting the “Soo” prefix is a leadership honorific among the Oracles.

Nearly every named Oracle leader (Soo-say, Soo-gan, Soo-nee, Soo-rahm, Soo-dow) carries it.

This quest marks a shift in the Oracle chain. The Mistwhisper sub-plot (defending their village from the Frenzyheart) wraps up here, and the story pivots to the Mosswalker tribe, where a darker threat awaits. The Mosswalkers are under attack by the Scourge, not just territorial wolvar, raising the stakes heading into the chain’s climax at The Sundered Shard with Artruis the Heartless.

The Faction Choice Ahead

Everything you’re doing in this chain builds toward a single decision: when you finally face Artruis the Heartless, you’ll choose between saving Jaloot (joining the Oracles) or saving Zepik (joining the Frenzyheart Tribe).

The choice determines your daily quest hub and reputation rewards, most notably whether you can pursue the coveted Reins of the Green Proto-Drake (~6% hatch rate from the Oracles’ Mysterious Egg).

“You’re a good dryskin.” Soo-gan said it without a trace of doubt in it. “Mistwhisper safe, treasure safe, and puppy-men sure to leave us alone now.”

Safe. Because I had killed the ones who threatened them, and I had shared a fire with those ones days before.

“You go back to Rainspeaker Canopy and tell Soo-say you done good.”

The walk followed the river east. Nothing came out of the trees at me and nothing needed deciding, and for once there was only the humid air pressing in and birds calling somewhere above the canopy, one foot down and then the other.

Anyone who has soldiered will tell you the same. It is not the fighting that stays with you, it is the walk afterward with nothing to do but think.

Rainspeaker Canopy came up through the trees. Soo-say was waiting.

“You back so soon! Went good then, yeah?”

I nodded.

It had gone as well as slaughter ever goes.

Soo-say took the report without much ceremony, because the Mistwhispers had never been the worst of it, and something east at Mosswalker Village had left one gorloc in no state to explain himself except as The Angry Gorloc.
