“Within this satchel are the artifacts that you recovered. Locate the burial mounds of Shield Hill, far to the southeast, where the items were originally stolen from and return the artifacts. It is my hope that this gesture will quell the spirits that now haunt our hunting grounds. Be strong, Vikstone…”

Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Getting the Bundle
Orfus hands you the Bundle of Vrykul Artifacts, which contains all four recovered artifacts. He directs you to Shield Hill, far to the southeast of the Ancient Lift.
Returning the Artifacts
Head to Shield Hill and use the Bundle at each of the four burial mounds. You need to stand directly on the looted artifact’s remains at each grave (look for the unattackable shadow figures marking each site). Use the Bundle from your inventory at each location.
The Bundle appears to channel when used, but skeleton attacks will not interrupt it. You can safely complete each return even while being hit. Visit all four mounds in any order, then return to Orfus at the Ancient Lift [40, 60].

The Offering Comes Too Late
Each vrykul spirit delivers a warning when you return their artifact, and none of them are grateful. The desecration of Shield Hill by the Northsea Freebooters has already set events in motion that cannot be undone:
Orfus’s hope that returning the artifacts would “quell the spirits” fails completely. His completion dialogue shifts from hope to dread: the kvaldir are coming regardless, and the Kalu’ak must prepare for war.

Vikstone's War JournalOrfus pressed the satchel into my hands. Within it, wrapped in separate cloths, lay the four artifacts I had recovered: the Frozen Heart of Isuldof, the Shield of the Aesirites, the Staff of Storm’s Fury, and the Ancient Armor of the Kvaldir.

“Locate the burial mounds of Shield Hill where the items were originally stolen from and return the artifacts. It is my hope that this gesture will quell the spirits that now haunt our hunting grounds.”
His whiskers were still for once.
“Be strong.”
The journey to Shield Hill took me past New Agamand and down to the peninsula’s southern tip. The violated graves waited, silent now, their spectral guardians watching my approach.
I placed the shield first. Fengir the Disgraced drifted up from the disturbed earth, his form more solid than before.
“Your offering has come too late, little one. Can you feel the mist closing in upon you? The Kvaldir return…”
He struck at me, and I answered with steel until he fell. The shield remained where I’d placed it.
Rodin the Reckless materialized when I returned the staff. “From the mist and fog the Kvaldir approach. Flee while you still breathe the air of the living…”
I didn’t flee. I fought.
Isuldof Iceheart laughed when his heart touched the grave. “Look to the seas, as your doom comes with the swell of tides.”
Windan of the Kvaldir was last. His spectral armor reformed around him as I laid down its physical twin.
“My brothers have awoken. Your efforts are wasted…”
Not one of them had offered peace.
Orfus read the truth in my face before I spoke. “Grim tidings. My people are in danger and must be warned. These sea faring aberrations will take no mercy upon the Kalu’ak.”
The artifacts were home. But the Kvaldir were coming anyway.
Every spirit had made the same promise on the way out, which Atuik needed to hear about, so Orfus sent him on a Return to Atuik.
