Objective: Gather 8 bundles of Composite Ore from the digs surrounding Galakrond’s Rest and bring them to Xink.

Walkthrough

Finding the Ore

• Composite Ore spawns in mine carts at Scourge excavation sites surrounding Galakrond’s Rest. The carts are visually distinct and sparkle. The main dig sites are at:
  • [56, 27] — Multiple carts reported here, the most commonly referenced location.
  • [58, 31] / [59, 31] — Another reliable cluster of 3-4 carts.
  • [52, 38] — Up to 6 carts reported at this site.
  • [52, 31] — At least 4 carts, but heavy mob density with very fast respawns.
• There appears to be a cap on the total number of carts that can exist at once across all dig sites. If one location is empty, check the others. As you loot carts at one site, new ones can spawn at a different site.
• Druids can loot carts in Swift Flight Form without dismounting.

Dealing with Wastes Diggers

• The Wastes Diggers around the carts respawn extremely quickly, sometimes within seconds of being killed. Don’t try to fully clear a site before looting.
• Their Carnivorous Bite is a stacking DoT that gets dangerous at 2-3+ stacks. Avoid pulling large groups. If stacks build up, kite or disengage until they fall off.
• The best approach is to kill just the mobs immediately near a cart, loot it quickly, then move to the next cart rather than trying to hold ground.

Efficiency Tips

• Always grab Nozzlerust Defense before heading out. It requires killing 12 Wastes Diggers and 1 Wastes Taskmaster at the same dig sites. You’ll complete it naturally while gathering ore.
• Rotate between dig sites rather than camping one location. Fly a circuit between [56, 27] → [58, 31] → [52, 38] → [52, 31] and loop back.
• Edge-picking works well: grab carts on the periphery of dig sites where mob density is lower, rather than pushing into the center.
• If carts aren’t spawning at any location, they may be on a longer respawn timer. Do other nearby quests and check back in a few minutes.

Class Tips

• Rogues: Stealth to carts and Vanish if overwhelmed. The fast mob respawns make prolonged fights risky.
• Plate wearers: AoE works here, but watch your Carnivorous Bite stacks. Pace your pulls.
• Casters: Pull carefully. Frost-specced mages and other classes with slows/roots will have an easier time managing the constant respawns.
